Sometimes, your skin tends to be too ruddy as if you smudged a crimson red lipstick on your whole face. If you think that there’s nothing to worry about it, then you’re wrong! You may be suffering from a condition called Rosacea, or excessive reddening of the skin. For those who got major acne breakouts, acne cysts and lesions tend to be brewing red too. Other causes of excessive skin reddening may be caused by excessive exposure to sunlight sans using any SPF for UV protection, using too much product with harsh ingredients, insect bites, swollen wheals, wound infection, etc.

One product claims to be pretty good in battling this kind of redness. Mario Badescu Healing Cream may be particularly recommended to calm redness caused by acne eruptions curbing it from scarring, but it also does the job on eliminating other causes of redness like burns, wheals and rosacea. It has Balsam Peru, a highly-effective ingredient, that helps protecting delicate, healing skin while it soothes and minimizes redness. This is an oil-free formula which is perfect for those with oily/sensitive/acne-prone skin.

I swear by this product that it really works. It’s been a staple to my ever-growing skin care arsenal. It really calms my brewing zit from getting redder. I also use this to calm down my irritated skin caused by premature peeling, and it really delivers instant results in as fast as overnight! However it may take a few days for zits, wheals and welts. :)

You may also want to try Mario Badescu Control Cream is specially formulated for those who are sufferng from excessive redness like Rosacea. It said it is perfect for all skin types. Be wary of the oil content though. :P I tried it, and it’s tad greasier than the Healing Cream. ;)
